What Adze Replaces, And What It Doesn't.

By 11am you've checked into ten different tools and still haven't touched your to-do list. That's not marketing, that's tool management. In this post, I walk through what a morning actually looks like with Adze instead, plus the real math on what a basic marketing tech stack costs today (spoiler: it's north of $1,500 a month once you count the help you'd need to hire).

Kelley Schultz

Hello Friends!

Kelley, here again. I want to chat with you about your day-to-day as a marketer or marketer-in-training.

First, coffee...of course.

Next, you sit down, you open your laptop. Ten tabs from yesterday are still up, ready to reload. Now, let me take a stab at guessing the tabs you have open:

  • Gmail or Outlook obviously, no explanation needed, but a good reminder to follow up on those link building outreach emails.

  • Google Analytics to check on conversions and make sure traffic didn’t plummet yesterday.

  • Brand24 to see who's talking about your company or market today.

  • Ahrefs to check if that blog post you wrote last month is finally ranking, or if you need to chase a new keyword opportunity.

  • ChatGPT or Gemini to help you think through a headline and brainstorm the next communication or content piece.

  • Jasper to actually write it, because you still can’t get the GEM to sound like you.

  • Canva to design a social posting card.

  • Buffer or Later to schedule it out.

  • Rival IQ to see what your competitors posted this week.

  • And somewhere in there, you're also managing a task list, probably with Basecamp, a Google doc, or your Notes app (that’s my personal favorite).

I can feel you nodding, and probably even thinking about more tabs you have open right now. Ten feels way too minimal after all :).

So, by 11am you've checked out at least ten different platforms and you haven't actually made progress on your to-do list yet. You've just been checking each tool for updates and feeding information from one into another, re-explaining your own brand voice each time so the output doesn't sound like a stranger wrote it.

Fortunately, that's not marketing. That's tool management. But that's today's reality. I already wrote a bit about Adze and the reason behind why my co-founder and I are building it, but now I want to explain how it shows up for you in practice.

Picture the same morning with Adze.

You open one tool with one login. Adze already flagged the overnight brand mentions worth your attention, because it's always monitoring. It already surfaced the next keyword opportunity, because it's been watching your SEO positions alongside your competitors.

When you want to take action on the opportunity, you tell Adze your thoughts, input any question and do a mini brainstorm with Adze, and then Adze drafts the content in your brand voice, the one it continues to learn with every interaction.

You review it, provide feedback, review again, and then approve it. It schedules based on your content distribution preferences that you set.

Adze is also flagging shifts in performance from your Google Analytics and Google Search Console data. Jump in conversions? Great! Adze lets you know what's performing so you can accelerate. Dip in traffic? No problem. Adze will flag what page or query or demographic and give you a recommendation for what to do next.

Hopping out of a meeting and have some new ideas you want to share about an upcoming campaign? Tell Adze. It will give you additional thoughts, log the notes, and be ready to act on them as soon as you are.

You still make every final decision. But now, you have a sidekick to strategize with and take action from your direction.

Here's the cool part. Adze becomes part of your team, connecting your tool stack and helping you keep the strategy moving forward. It doesn't replace your team; it helps you and them get more done, faster, so you can stay competitive.

I do want to be clear here. Adze doesn't replace your staff, your judgment, or your relationships with clients and stakeholders. It won't sit in on the calls that need your face, and it won't make the calls that need your name behind them. Those are still yours.

What it does replace is a chunk of your tools, because now Adze is the connector, the poster, the analyzer, the scheduler. One or two things stay outside of it for now too. You'll still hop into Canva for the visuals themselves; Adze helps you plan and schedule what goes out, but the actual design work still happens there.

The Math Behind It.

We ran the numbers because we wanted to see what a basic marketing tech stack costs today, the kind Adze is built to replace.

On a conservative front, it came out to roughly $675 a month in tools alone, and closer to $1,500+ a month if you're a solo marketer or founder and you factor in the part-time help you'd need to hire for execution.

And none of these tools we're calling out are bad. They're good at what they do. It's just a lot of subscriptions and a lot of back and forth for what should be one connected workflow.

Here's the back-of-the-napkin math we're using for this analysis.
