About Adze

Built by marketers, for marketers

Adze began as the assistant we wanted for our own marketing: something that held the context, kept the work moving, and asked for us only when the judgment was ours to make.

Why we built it

Most marketing software is built by people who never had to do the marketing

We did. The distance between what a tool could do and what a marketing week actually demands is the thing Adze exists to close.

We had the problem first
Adze started inside our own marketing practice, against real deadlines and a real backlog. It was not a product idea looking for a use.
The defaults come from doing the work
What Adze watches, how it prepares, and when it interrupts are shaped by the way a marketing week actually runs, not by what was cheapest to build.
Judgment stays with the marketer
Nothing reaches a customer without a person deciding it should. That is a founding position rather than a setting, and it is not going to move.

Adze is a product of AltaCoda LLC, and it is still built by the people who use it on their own work every week.

The founders

The two people who started it

A small team at AltaCoda builds Adze. These are the two who began it, and both still do marketing work of their own.

  • Kash Sajadi

Has spent a career building software and then having to find its audience — which is the gap Adze was drawn to close.

  • Kelley Schultz

Runs the marketing practice Adze was measured against, and sets the standard every draft still has to meet.

Where we are

Three cities, one working day

Adze is built across San Francisco, Chicago, and London. The spread is deliberate: between them the day runs almost unbroken, so work rarely waits overnight for an answer.
